Cultivating Wisdom exists to support people and organisations to do good work, by providing leadership development and coaching services. Development activities are underpinned by a focus on wisdom. Practical approaches emphasise shared purpose, collaboration and openness to fresh thinking and action in complexity, seeking to foster unity without uniformity.
Jane Gaukroger is the founder of Cultivating Wisdom and has spent her whole career in organisational and people development, previously as a group leader with global consultancies. She works with a diverse range of organisations and leaders, designing and delivering programmes and one to one coaching. She facilitates programmes with The Whitehall and Industry Group with a particular focus on cross-sectoral collaborative leadership WIG Advanced Collaborative Leadership Programme
Jane is also researcher and writer, holds a doctorate in organisational wisdom and has led research for the European Mentoring and Coaching Council on coaching for wise leadership. She regularly works with universities, having taught and held governance roles. She collaborates with a number of academic groups researching and developing practice around wisdom, including the Center for Practical Wisdom University of Chicago and the Collaborating Centre for Values Based Practice in Health and Social Care at the University of Oxford.
